It's illegal to sleep in public in a lot of cities in California. In Huntington Beach, they give you tickets for sleeping in public, demand that you appear in court and sometimes put in you jail. The first week of being homeless was the hardest, just trying to find a safe and hidden place to sleep, then waking up before the cops do their sweeps. The first night that I had a blanket I overslept and got caught...

The beginning- After I lost my house this is where i ended up sleeping for nine months. How could you sleep on the floor in a public bathroom? Well it had a toilet, a roof, and the door locked.
